Among all the Invicta Collections, the Subaqua Noma III Collection is a very popular one that deserves special attention from watches collectors. For this review, I’ve chosen the Subaqua 5511 as it’s one of the highest rated by customers with a 4.3 out of 5 stars ( see on Amazon Here). As its name indicates, this watch is equipped with features making it able to go under “Aqua”. We can mention from these, the screw down crown that prevents water infiltration, the shock resistance and with a very high water resistance up to 1,640 feet (500 M). There are other interesting features to consider and which I will talk about in this review.
The Subqua Noma III Case and Dial
Let’s start this review with the common features on these Subaqua Noma III. The case diameter is 50mm , and its thickness is 18mm. The Case as well as the unidirectional bezel are constructed out of Stainless Steel. The dial and subdials are also another beauty criteria which Invicta knows very well to style. Made of metal, the dial is of a black color which goes very well with the black strap that creates more contrast to the overall look. There are also other nicely chosen details on the dial like the silver tone Tritnite filled metallic hour, minute and subdial hands along with the metallic seconds hand. Unlike other Invicta watches, you find on the Subaqua’s dial the tachymeter scale to measure speed. Despite of their small size, they are very clear because of the white/black contrast. A nice silver, white, and black colors palette. The dial is protected by a durable Sapphire Crystal that Invicta calls “flame-fusion crystal”.
This Noma III will go with you to your adventure by the sea and can handle up to 500 Meters (1,640 feet) under water.
Screw Down Crown
In order to prevent water infiltration, this model, like other Subaqua models, is equipped with a screw down crown. Additionally, this one is well protected by a creatively crafted Crown Protector Bar that bears the Invicta name. This feature is particular to the Subaqua Noma Collection for maximum protection in water environment. The crown must be pushed back after having adjusted the date and time or else the water protection will not work, but yes sure this is not a process that requires a lot of effort.
The Invicta Subaqua 5511 Strap
The band of this Subaqua is made of a rubber material also called polyurethane with stainless steel inserts decorated with a sort of snake-skin like texture as you can see in the image. The black and grey color combination adds more contrast to the watch along with the black/grey contrast of the dial/case. This gives it a very classy look that would suit very well all clothing pieces you decide to put on. The strap normally fits wrists up to approximately 9″, but i’m not sure of that. Important to know that the polyurethane strap makes this watch lighter on the wrist and is quite comfortable.
This Invicta features a precise and high-quality Swiss-quartz movement (5040.D Caliber) with analog display.
Another craftsmanship piece of engineering from Invicta. The heavy and sturdy Invicta Subaqua Noma III is a pleasure for the eyes, destined for big guys, guys with big wrists, or any fan of watch collection. A serious looking black and gray tone watch with nice specs. You may want to check Amazon if they have put a discount on it, Click Here to go to this watch page and profit from free shipping.
