The Invicta Reserve Excursion 6262 model, is one of these big face watches with a case diameter of 50 millimeters that is very suitable with medium to large wrists. In addition to that, its case is 17 mm thick, 17 mm off the wrist as shown in the image, which qualifies it to be a fairly large bold watch. Solid and shiny Silver-Tone stainless steel, the Invicta Excursion watch, like many other members of the invicta’s family, is water resistant and comes with other nice features that I will talk about on this review, so bear with me.
The Excursion Classy Black Dial
Along with the Silver-Tone of the case, the black background of the dial adds an elegant feel to the overall look and also contrasts very well with the luminous silver tone of the Arabic Numeral dials and sub-dials. The invicta´s chronograph has three Sub-Dials. The first one is a 1/10 second dial. The second dial is a “60 second”, and the last one is a 30 minute dial and which you can adjust via the screw down crown. You find engraved on the screw down crown the Reserve Excursion logo and which is the “I” of the Invicta logo with a sort of “S” swoosh around it. The exact same logo that is at the end of the Seconds sweeping hand.
This is one of the greatest features that this Invicta watches has and that allows shallow scratches to be buffed out. The Reserve Excursion is equipped with a sapphire crystal glass and which was tested to be hardly scratchable as the guy on the video below shows (on 1:03 time). When moved, you can see a bluish tint on the light reflection that gives a cool glare effect.
Like on the majority of the invicta watches, the logo and the letters “Invicta” are almost everywhere. It may sound narcissistic to some, but they are pretty nicely placed. Firstly, on the end of the strap, only the logo is engraved without the letters. Then on the metallic bulk there is the “RESERVE” letters engraved. On the case-back also, it is engraved on the steel in the center along with the Flame-Fusion logo. Close to the edges, you find the water resistance numbers written in a bent circular shape following along the round edge, but this doesn’t supercharge the look. And finally, and obviously, like all the big brands the small silver shiny invicta logo at the middle of the black dial.
Like almost all invicta watches this one is also 200 Meter water resistant, and yes it is not for scuba diving.
The Excursion Band
This Reserve Excursion comes with a flexible polyurethane black strap that is very thick and bendable, which is a sign of durability. It fits quite good on the wrist, and in order to fit with the silver-tone stainless steel of the case, the strap has two integrated rectangular metal pieces with a slightly spiky shape like pyramids which add virility to the overall look. The buckle is also metallic and had the letters “R E S E R V E “ written on it.
If you’re a professional athlete or a guy with a big wrist who’s looking for a big face watch, then the Invicta Reserve Excursion is made for you. 50 mm wide and 17 mm thick.
